Education in 2030 *

By 2030, all trainees will have acquired the knowledge, skills, values and attitudes that are required for building societies sustainable and peaceful, through, inter alia, education for global citizenship and education for sustainable development: goal 5 of the sustainable development objectives (2016-2030).

The UNESCO, in the frame of the objectives of the development sustainable (2016-2030), raises seven goals specific to the education. Three of these lack them still the percentage that must be attained by the year 2030. Ideally would be the 100 percent, as is raised in the other four goals. Subject to know the precise percentage here transcribe the seven goals:

Goal 1

By 2030, at least X % of the children will be prepared for primary school, previous participation in a system of education and protection of early childhood quality with at least one year of pre-school education free and compulsory; Special attention to gender equality and the most marginalized will be paid.

By the immediate positive effect and long term care and education of early childhood (ECCE) has not only on the well-being and development of children and their preparation for school, but also in the social and economic development of societies, the ECCE should expand and provide all children at least one year of pre-primary education.

Goal 2

By 2030, all girls and children completed basic quality, free and compulsory, at least nine-year education and acquire the relevant skills; is will be paid special attention to the equality of gender and to the more marginalized.

The future agenda of education should ensure that you offer a full cycle of basic education. Accordingly, should ensure is by that all them children-regardless of their circumstances-have access to an education basic of quality, free and compulsory of nine years as minimum and end it; This must include at least the primary school and the first cycle of secondary education, but it can go further depending on the context of the country.

Goal 3

By 2030, all young people and at least X % of adults will read, write and calculate the degree of domain necessary to participate fully in society; Special attention to young people and women and the most marginalized will pay.

Literacy is essential for promoting lifelong learning opportunities and is understood as a continuous, all with different levels and uses, depending on the context. All young people and adults must reach a level of literacy that allows them to function effectively at home, at school, at work and in society. In view of the persistence and the extent of the problem of literacy both in countries in development as in developed ones, in the future agenda of education should provide for more efforts in this area.

Goal 4

For 2030, at least X % of the young people and the and percent of adults will possess the knowledge and skills necessary to have a job and a life worthy thanks to education and technical and vocational training, the second cycle of secondary and higher education; Special attention to gender equality and the most marginalized will be paid.

Given the socio-economic transformations, it is necessary renew and intensify knowledge concerning approaches and skills that require a job and a life worthy.

Among other things, you must provide young people from sets of useful skills through different education and training pathways, improving the transition from school to the working world, and consolidate recycling and refining for adults in a lifelong learning perspective.

Goal 5

By 2030, all trainees will have acquired the knowledge, skills, values and attitudes that are required for building societies sustainable and peaceful, through, inter alia, education for global citizenship and education for sustainable development.

The challenges of the globalized world call for people of all ages to possess knowledge, skills, values and attitudes that allow them to contribute as responsible citizens of the world to peace and sustainable development. The education is the main medium for prepare to them people for Act in favor of the integrity of the environment and the viability of the economy, and of a world just, tolerant, inclusive and safe for them generations present and future.

Goal 6

By 2030, the Governments will achieve that all learners receive a teaching taught by qualified teachers, trained professional, motivated and properly supported.

The quality of education depends on the quality of teachers. These are at the forefront of education and training, from ECCE up to higher education, in formal and non-formal settings. The future agenda of the education should be ensured, therefore, that Governments and stakeholders in education invest to remedy the inadequacy of teachers and improve their performance.

Goal 7

By 2030, all countries allocated to education at least 4% of its gross domestic product (GDP) or at least 15% of their spending, giving priority to the neediest groups, and will strengthen financial cooperation in favour of education, giving priority to the neediest countries.

The new agenda of education can not met without sufficient funding. Therefore necessary, Governments to renew their commitment to provide equitable funding that is consistent with the national priorities of education and that all stakeholders, including multilateral and bilateral sources to increase financial cooperation for the benefit of education clearly.

In the case of Mexico, despite all the problems faced today by education, I have an optimistic position in relation to the achievement of the targets. This reason five realities: awareness of civil society and the public pressure; This and the next two Governments of the Republic have no choice who follow the way of the improvement of the system; in these next few years will notice the changes involved in the current and next Governments; the reforms guarantee access to the system to best teachers; This or the next Government will be a reform ecuativa to fund, which will be implemented in the coming years.
